T.O. Still in the News in Philly

March 21, 2006

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you know that Terrell Owens just signed with the Cowboys. Eagles fans over here seem to have a mixture of emotions about the situation. Regardless of what you think about T.O., you have to go to his website and listen to the rap he made about leaving Philly. It’s off the unintentional comedy charts. Lyrics include such well quipped lines as:

I got a brand new team, I am a Cowboy now, no more black and green, to the haters that said I’m not going to get my money, I’m laughing in your face, ha ha, that’s funny. . . .

And this will probably be my best season by far, no more getting my Eagle on, you can meet me at the stars.

I’m back and I’m better than ever, I’m back and I’m getting this cheddar. This time I’m a Cowboy, And I’m got ‘em sayin’ wow, boy.

Wow.

Amazing Video

March 15, 2006

Streakers are annoying right? All they do is waste time and interrupt sporting events. Plus, who wants to see a disgusting middle aged guy’s ding-a-ling flapping in the breeze. Well, after seeing this, I have a new found respect for streakers. Sorry for the brief nudity, but this is too funny. See below:

Fake $1B Bank Notes Found in Apartment

March 15, 2006

Sorry for the complete lack of blogging lately kids. In addition to working silly hours for April 15th, I am also in the process of trying to buy a car and help plan a wedding. Hopefully things will regain some sort of normalcy in a few weeks here.

Until then, here’s some free advice: if you’re going to start counterfitting U.S. currency, don’t try to make billion dollar bills. The sheer stupidity of people in this country never ceases to amaze me.

Newest alternative fuel reportedly not just a bunch of manure

March 6, 2006

Japanese scientists discovered a way to extract gasoline from cow manure using heat and high pressure. They say that they can get .42 oz of gasoline out of every 3.5 oz of manure. It is said that in Japan, 551,000 tons of manure are produced every year. This means that if they used all that manure solely for gasoline production, they could make about 16.5 million gallons (check my math there).

Can you imagine how much gasoline the U.S. could make in this manner?

Now I’m pretty ignorant when it comes this stuff. I have no idea how cost effective this new production method is, and I have no idea how many gallons of gas we consume as country each year. However, it seems like we could make a decent amount of gas from poo so we wouldn’t have to depend on the Middle East so much.

That’s an accountant’s analysis of the global energy crisis. Comments welcome.

Flickr Feeds

March 2, 2006

Flickr is an awesome site that I’ve talked about several times before. It allows for more of a “social” atmosphere than any photo site out there by integrating tagging, groups, and favorites.

One of the best features of Flickr is the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds of people, groups, or tags. Unfortunately Flickr only lets you see the latest 10 pictures in the feed - something I’ve been complaining about this since I started using Flickr last year.

Hey Flickr, I love you, but will you please make your RSS feeds a bit more customizeable?
