Lots of people don’t know. If you’re curious (and you should be), why not ask the guy who invented it.

Big freaking storm

Hey everyone. Quick update here. I haven’t been able to blog much, mainly because my power has been out for about two days. We had a wicked storm come through here and do some serious damage to my neighborhood and the surrounding area. I had a tree partially on my roof for awhile. Two people got killed, one by a tree branch coming through the window of her car and impaling her. This was not a fun thing to go through. It makes you really feel even worse for those poor people in New Orleans last year.

Kelly and I are fine. No serious damage. It’s just been a lousy couple of days. You can check out some more pics on Flickr if you want.

Back in the swing of things…

July 6, 2006

Whew! I haven’t posted here in about a month, and I have to say, it’s good to be back! Over the past month, I have gotten married, traveled to far corners of the earth, sat on my butt waiting for my new job to start, and walked Kelly’s dog a number of times.

First off, thanks to all those who took part in the wedding. Despite Fitzy’s Don Johnson-esque white suit, it was still a fun affair (especially when said suit ended up with red wine all over it). I’m not really going to go into any wedding/honeymoon details. If you want, you can check out a few pictures that people (thanks to Tully and Colin) have uploaded from the actual wedding on the aforementioned Flickr site, and also a crapload of pictures I took in Costa Rica.

As it stands for me, I start my new job tomorrow morning (for those of you that don’t know, I quit my job at KPMG before the wedding). Coincidentally, I thought I was going to start my job yesterday, got all dressed up, drove to the office, and then got a call from my new boss explaining that he was tied up all day yesterday and today playing golf with a potential investor. Long story short, the Summer of Butter continues.

Now, where’s my block of cheese…
